It’s a tradition: when I get a new bike, I get a new helmet. So, as my R1300 GS is possibly only a week away, I got a Shoei Neotec 3 and the fitting Sena SRL3 Bluetooth communications system. Shoei’s helmet shells fit my noggin’ better than BMW’s and Schuberth’s (which produce for the former). So, in the early am today, I tried my hand at installing the electronics in the helmet:
Tried it out on a tour through the Hainich National Park:
A very nice ride and the helmet proved comfortable in fit. The aerodynamics are improved upon the predecessor and there’s very little noise. What noise there is, the Harman-Cardon licensed sound system produces it in a quality that is almost wasted on a motorcycle helmet headset. Let’s just say you can actually enjoy your music while riding. Looking forward to pairing the helmet with the GS in a week!
