What the camera saw

From that banal first shot still in the Leica Store on January 14-th, my M11 has seen a lot in more than ten months. Here are some pictures that went through it. But first, a trigger warning: there won’t only be sunsets, flowers and cute cats. There also was sickness and death. If you don’t want to see that, don’t click through!

Superlative Normal Lens

Suddenly owning the Leica APO-Summicron-M 1:2/50 mm ASPH. is a bit of a shock. Despite its focal length, it is anything but normal. Challenging would be more like it. Every time I dive into the files it produces on the M11 sensor, my jaw drops.
