I got a comment on my German language photo blog on the picture above that said: “Beautiful picture, but why black and white?” Comments there are a seldom enough occurrence, so six weeks later I replied:

Flickry Adressees

For years now, I’ve been showing my photos on a German photo sharing site (don’t know how how long that link will be up, see below). They contacted me recently when the yearly fees were due and they’d lost connection to my credit card. This got me thinking, as expenses are apt to do lately.
What is the purpose of posting photos on such a site for others and me? (more…)

Geriatric Portfolios Solicited

This is strictly not for the young and beautiful. On “Expiration Notice” (nice moniker!), they’re asking for portfolios from *old*-and-emerging, finally-coming-out-of-the-closet grannys and gramps. Contributors must be over 35. I’m turning 45 tomorrow, so I sent them a little something that has been developing for a few decades (that does tend to maximise the highlight density …).
There still is time till the end of the month, so down that Geritrol and get your pictures together!
