I’ve fallen into the fisheye trap. There is a long-standing fascination with these lenses.

When I was a young photographer (14), my dear dad got us both into an industry show held by Canon. We borrowed a Canon F-1 New and a circular fisheye lens. We put in a film we brought along, laid the camera on the floor between us and made a father and son looking over the edge of the world double portrait. It is one of the fondest memories of my childhood.

By the way, the Canon fisheye has turned into a Nikkor and they’re much smaller now!
